Jim Corbett Safari Rules

The rules of a safari are there to protect the animals, the forest and you. Guests who follow them tend to see more, not less.

In the vehicle

  • Stay seated and inside the vehicle unless the guide permits otherwise at a designated point.
  • Keep voices low. Loud noise pushes animals away.
  • Follow the guide and driver at all times, especially near elephants.

Respect the wildlife

  • Never feed, call or throw anything at animals.
  • No flash photography and no drones.
  • Keep a safe distance; the guide decides how close a vehicle may go.

Respect the forest

  • Do not litter. Carry your waste out.
  • No smoking, alcohol or fires inside the reserve.
  • Do not pick plants or collect anything from the forest.

Rules change

The forest department updates rules and fees; details here are general. Your guide and the gate staff have the final say (confirm with us).
