A canter is a larger open vehicle where seats are sold individually. It suits solo travellers and small groups who prefer not to book a whole jeep.
Canter or jeep?
Canters seat many people at once and follow set routes. Jeeps are smaller, more flexible and usually quieter. If wildlife photography or a private experience matters, a jeep is the usual choice. If you want a lower-cost way to enter a zone or are travelling alone, a canter can make sense.
Availability
Which zones offer canters, how many seats and at what fee is decided by the forest department and has changed over time (confirm with us). Ask us for the current position before you plan around it.
Tips
Choose front or side seats if you can, keep camera gear ready in a soft bag, and expect more noise than in a jeep.
